The greatest part of design thinking is looking to your users for the answers. It is asking the questions that if you were to sit inside your studio and ask yourself, you could easily skew the answers to feed your own desires. It is why at Exhibit Change, there is a great deal of focus on engaging with stakeholders earlier, longer and more often.
Starting this process, it only made sense to do this the same way I would advise clients to begin the process. I released a short survey of 6 questions and booked a bunch of interviews with past and present clients to gain a sense of what worked, what needed change, what questions emerged and what new ideas there might be.
I am so grateful to each and every person that has taken time so far to help me through this evolving process.
Next up, I am starting to dig into the data. The tidbits of information that has been shared that will ultimately shape the focus of the next iteration of Exhibit Change.

Over the next little while, I will be combing over the answers of the survey and looking to make sense of it all. I am aware that it would be easy to look for the answers that validate my thinking and end up with a nice clean way to push my ideas forward, so I am paying specific attention the way I sort information.
More specifically, I will continuously be checking in with others to see what they think as I sort the data.
I am excitedly looking forward to releasing a prototype soon for more feedback.
